We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join Avalign in our Warsaw, IN location. 

   

What You’ll Do:

 

Works closely with Accounting Manager to develop, implement and maintain cost accounting standards for manufacturing business and assists with financial analysis, planning process, forecasts and tracking of plant reduction initiatives.

 

  • Assists with the month-end close and financial reporting process, prepares reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations and month end reporting and analysis
  • Generates daily, weekly, monthly operational reports and creates additional reports as required by Operations Management
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting standards for manufacturing business; analyzes standard cost variances and their root causes on a regular basis; reports variances to management team
  • Develops and maintains material, labor and outsourced processing and overhead cost standards; recommends benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of departments; and monitors and analyzes monthly operating results against budget
  • Assists with financial analysis, forecasts and planning process; makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies; and assists with tracking of plant cost reduction initiatives
  • Works with external auditors and supports the Accounting Manager on annual audit process
  • Provides collections and A/R customer account oversight
  • Perform Ad Hoc projects including support of Management Team goals and reporting; support of financial modeling and support of other special projects as assigned or required

Who you are:

 

  •  Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting standards, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal and state financial regulations
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Advanced in Excel (required)
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (required)
  • Knowledge of Access and/or Crystal Reports (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Exact JobBoss (preferred)
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting software (a plus)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent accounting and math skills
  • Ability to interact with all types of people, get along with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors to the facility and respond politely to all individuals
  • Ability to work and accomplish tasks as an individual or on a team

 

What You Will Need:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in computer conversions (a plus)
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience
  • Experience in budget development
  • Experience in preparation of financial statements
