SUMMARY OF THE HRIS MANAGER:   This position is responsible for managing the HRIS system, building and managing HR and payroll reportsdeveloping and managing HR systems, workflows and processes, and creating and delivering training on HR systems and processes to all user groups. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HRIS MANAGER:  Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.  Other duties may be assigned: 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of our HRIS system (Ceridian Dayforce) including regularly reviewing and updating system structure and hierarchy, generating standard and ad hoc reports, creating and managing system access and roles, initiating and maintaining accurate workflows and approval processes, acting as a liaison with vendors on feeds and transactions, training and supporting users, and making recommendations for improved efficiencies including APIs, data feeds and process updates. 

  • This role has primary ownership for entity and location/site structure within the HRIS system. Working closely with Payroll Manager and Finance teams, ensure GL codes, location structures, tax codes and other critical items are properly setup and maintained.   

  • Working with HR team, update existing onboarding processes and forms to include geographically specific forms/agreements for signature, storage and access for handbooks and other “for employee records only” documents, and generation of a more robust ‘onboarding checklist’ procedure and documents structured by position and classification. 

  • Responsible for HR file management within HRIS system – evaluate current setup, make recommendations for improvement, and build out go-forward approach for maintaining legally compliant and robust personnel file management system, including but not limited to I-9 integration, confidential/medical/LOA file maintenance, employee relations/notes maintenance, and other related structures. Also work closely with integration team to establish process for newly acquired employees for onboarding and file creation. 

  • Create and deliver training materials for new and existing users to ensure a solid understanding of system functionality; create user guides and processes to help all levels of users interact within the system effectively, and improve usability of the system. Ensure new hires/transferred employees are properly setup in the system and receive role-specific training. Increase system utilization through deeper user understanding of system functionality and increase automation by maximizing system capabilities. 
     

  • Working closely with HR leadership, help to build out functionality of system in such areas as performance management/succession planning, compensation management, reporting and analytics, labor and payroll reporting, and benefit compliance/utilization, with the goal of improving efficiencies and maximizing system capabilities. 
     

  • In coordination with the M&A team and HR Integration Manager, participate in the acquisition integration process including importing new employees & setting up onboarding, creating new structures, tax entities, locations, etc. as needed for acquisitions. 
     

  • Working closely with HR leadership, vendors and internal users, regularly review existing programs and systems and seek to make process improvements and increase automation in such areas as HRIS system utilization and integration, background checking/drug testing, I-9/e-verify complianceUI claims managementemployee onboarding and engagement, performance management, EEO-1 and other required reporting, personnel file management, and data management. 

  • Other projects as needed in support of our business objectives.
