St. Ann’s Community is looking for a Housekeeping/Laundry Room Manager for our St. Ann’s Home, located on the Irondequoit Campus. The Housekeeping/Laundry Manager is responsible for the managing, supervision and instruction of environmental services associates.

Job Description:

  • Supervision of Environmental Services and Laundry associates in performance of their duties, monitors and audits work to ensure compliance with established standards
  • Trains new employees and re-trains seasoned employees in new or revised procedures
  • Assigns and directs associates, issues or arranges for issue of supplies and equipment, and controls locking and unlocking of key areas when access is required
  • Evaluate laundry chemical supplies, testing their capabilities through formulas and contacting vendors to establish product evaluations
  • Prepares daily, weekly and monthly schedules and prepares appropriate reports, analyses and other documentation
  • Prepares sectional budgets including staffing, capital and operating expenses
  • Prepare performance appraisals for associates
  • Investigates and coordinates additional training for staff relative to professional development

Candidate Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school with five years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Lean Six Sigma yellow or green belt certificate, or equivalent knowledge.  
  • Strong aptitude for planning, assigning and directing work, and appraising performance while maintaining and practicing positive employee relations
