Our ideal candidate has already been doing the work and is ready to take it up a notch. You’ve likely managed accounts, kept up with trends in the space, dealt with clients and developed strategies for sustained success. Been there, done that. Chances are: You’ve outgrown the “junior strategist” role.
 

Our Strategic Social Media Account Manager is an individual who can simultaneously dive deep into the day-to-day issues of our big social media accounts and at the same time think creatively about the social media industry and the trends that are emerging – influencers, platforms, experiential marketing, innovative trends and more. This leader must be completely customer-obsessed and tuned in to all things social.

What you’ll be doing:

  • General program/project management.
  • Become an expert at presenting how Lee’s communication marketing solutions and tools can help positively impact a business.
  • Partner with content, creative, digital tactical teams and more.
  • Develop and execute onboarding strategies designed to simplify processes for clients, while ensuring ongoing campaign success
  • Create proactive QA systems designed to provide consistently on-brand and engaging content to our high-value clients.
  • Show a demonstrable passion, curiosity and experience in making creative content on social media platforms - Tweets, TikTok videos, Instagram, Facebook and more
  • Lead all communication marketing and branding efforts for a portfolio of strategic Lee Enterprises clients – aiming to increase market share, and to build and enhance the respective client’s social media community
  • Create strategies on supporting and monitoring emerging social media platforms, like comprehensive influencer campaigns and cutting-edge social strategies designed to excite and deliver
  • Develop processes that provide actionable insights/reporting to our clients

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 4 Year College Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of social media experience, agency experience required
  • Prior management experience is desired
  • Experience on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of social media trends, branding, and marketing strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media technology and platforms
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
