KI is seeking a Software Developer to join their Information Technology Department.  This position is located at KI's Corporate Headquarters in Green Bay, WI.
 
The Software Developer will analyze, design, develop, install, and maintain business and management information systems and procedures; assist in total project development process; and provide specific computer and business expertise necessary to solve production and maintenance problems in assigned project/system areas. The Software Developer also provides training for new improvements to key users in a ‘train the trainer’ role.
 
Experience:

5+ years of work experience in an IT Design, Development and Support function or equivalent combination of education and experience in the manufacturing environment

Experience applying technical solutions to business requirements

Knowledge of AS400/IBMi, OS/400, and DB2

Proficient with RPG/RPGLE and CL programming skills, SQL coding (DDL, DQL, DML)

Experience with database modeling and design, configuration and information management preferred

Additional Information:

Job duties include design, code, unit test, system test, performance test, debug, implement, document, and support solution systems through new system development, enhancements of existing systems, or implementation of third-party products.

Experience with Microsoft Office

Knowledge of connectivity to other platforms (web services and web api's)

Experience estimating work or project effort for proposed solutions

Strong problem solving and decision making

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with non-technical personnel

Ability to work with users to identify problems, define and implement solutions

Ability to manage a high volume of work with excellent accuracy

Strong track record meeting targets and objectives.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional peers

Able to interface and influence at all levels of an organization

Ability to communicate effectively to business and IT technical teams

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
