We have an immediate opening for a Wall Project and Service Coordinator to work from our showroom in Chicago, IL.  This individual will coordinate all Wall project and service functions including quote preparation, purchase order receipt, through installation of product.  You will be required to have an extensive technical knowledge of KI Wall products and services, as well as a general knowledge of all KI products to provide exemplary service to KI customers.
 

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and manage functions relating to drawings and quotations, project schedules, and delivery and installation.
  • Technical assistance to customers with specifications related to Wall products and product capabilities. 
  • Participate in project management meetings with customers and sales reps at job sites.
  • Analyze blueprints and freehand drawings to determine layout.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project costs, special cost requests, and all correspondence related to the price of the project.
  • Prepare cost quotations including determining panel counts, door counts, component requirements, freight and installation costs, special product pricing, development of spreadsheets and quotation letters.  Understand discounts, commissions, accruals, sales tax, installation labor rates, and how each impacts pricing of projects.
  • Assist sales reps with preparation of presentation materials, specification guides and samples.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce.com project log for tracking and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

  • An Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in construction customer service or project management.
  • Understanding of construction lifecycle is helpful.
  • Previous experience reading/working with blueprints and freehand drawings.
  • Ability to draw and generate bills of material in computer drafting software is preferred.
  • Ability to interact with customers, installation companies, dealer representatives and general contractors.
