Description: The Practice Support Coordinator manages a large caseload of family-based and employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and applications, including waivers. The PSC files motions and evidentiary submissions in Immigration Court; works closely with our clients to provide comprehensive immigration services, including using document system to gather and store client files.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare forms and correspondence
  • Work closely with clients to gather and organize supporting documentation, including providing them with direct links to client questionnaires and to file storage
  • Prepare filings for relevant federal agencies
  • Prepare draft correspondence
  • Ensure that all new matters meet firm compliance standards, including conflict check, retainer agreement, and matter opening
  • Track the status of filings and inform the client and attorney of any follow up that may be necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2+ years of immigration experience
  • Required: able to fluently speak Spanish
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication preferred
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong skills with MS Office and document storage
  • Maintain high standards of performance
  • Exhibit conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility
  • Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization
  • Must exhibit well-developed interpersonal and client relation skills
  • Exhibits strong oral and written communications skills
  • Thorough command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style
  • Military experience welcome
