Role: The Business Intelligence Solutions Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical customized BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. The role requires a strong understanding of business processes and working with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and design solutions that meet the business needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Develop ETL/ELT processes for source data, data models, and other Data Warehouse structural components in a SQL Server environment to support analytics needs of the business.
20% Design build and deploy BI solutions for enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting needs using a variety of tools including SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI, and other industry standard tools.
15% Create documentation; including requirements, design documentation, technical specifications, procedures, and testing documentation to support existing and new solution development.
10% Support business unit requests for ad-hoc data exports and reporting.
10% Determine and implement best practice standards for solution development with a focus on supporting long term ownership of developed solutions.
10% Provide support and education to the business units on published data models.
10% Performance tuning, application monitoring and maintenance of production solutions.
5% Aid in selection, deployment, and support of approved analytics tools for business analysts and advanced business units on published data models.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
