BASIC PURPOSE:

The primary responsibility of the Director, Marketing is to partner with business lines (acting as an advisor, business partner), Corporate Marketing and COEs in the development of B2B marketing strategies and execution of marketing plans. The role will lead, develop and/or co-ordinate the creation of content and copy with the execution of campaigns and/or just in time initiatives across various on and off-line channels to targeted audiences across B2B segments. The role will act as a liaison for Marketing to communicate updates, measure performance and business impact, uncover business opportunities and needs, etc. and support business objectives. Additionally, the Director may be required to partner / assist on major initiatives and support COEs and Corporate Marketing as needed.


 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Partner with senior business leaders in accessing what Marketing strategies and tactics are required to drive business impact.
  • Lead the development of marketing strategies, plans and timelines that align and support key business goals and have a measurable impact on business performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate with the COEs the development of initiatives, projects and/or campaigns (creative and content) and their timely execution that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Partner with marketing ecosystem vendors and partners.
  • Manage marketing budget as specified for the line of business and or functional area.
  • Provide regular and consistent communications, updates, analysis and reporting re: performance to key stakeholders, senior leadership, etc.
  • Monitor industry, market and competitor trends, movements, news, etc. related to the line of business that requires new, improved, etc. marketing tactics, initiatives to take advantage of business opportunities
  • Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs. Review on a consistent basis to adapt as needed.
  • Coach mentor and raise the team’s ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for talent succession.
  • Develop and prepare key messaging and presentation material for senior management as needed.
  • Research, analyze and report on economic trends, buying habits and the demographic characteristics of client and candidates’ preferences e.g. buyer personas, journey mapping, etc. for products/services and those of competitors. · Work closely with internal departments, key stakeholders, senior executives etc. in understanding needs, opportunities, insights, feedback, etc. in the creation, development and effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives. · Partner with COE’s and Corporate Marketing as needed in the support, development and execution of ad hoc and/or planned initiatives and/or campaigns.

 QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or other similar discipline, MBA or Masters degree in related discipline.
  • 8-10 years’ experience with 7 in progressive Marketing roles at the senior management e.g. Director level.
  • A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives.
  • Strong analytical, planning forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
  • Ability to interface with senior leadership undercovering opportunities, conveying advice and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills e.g. ability to sell concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Proven ability to lead and interface effectively in a proactive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives.
