Job Description

The position serves as support to designated HR Business Partner, and as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The HR Generalist processes, assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and acts as an employee champion and change agent. S/he communicates needs proactively within our HR department and collaborates with HR Leadership and business management to develop integrated solutions. S/he will deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives and culture of the organization.


This position will support business leaders in the Patient Access Center or Patient Affordability Center, working closely to people managers within the designated business unit or location.  This position will require a heavy emphasis in both management and employee coaching, problem solving, employee relations, and performance management/employee development.


What you will do:


  • Provides HR support by working with respective membership team members on the various stages of an employee lifecycle (i.e., workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, annual goal setting, coaching and performance (mid-year, year-end) management, employee development/training, compensation (merit increases) programs); Working closely with HR Business partner, proactively develops HR solutions that support the business strategies and achievement of company objectives.
  • Working collaboratively with the Employee Relations Manager and HR Business Partner, interprets company policies and practices to provide direction and counsel to members of the management team and employees using creative and practical solutions to proactively anticipate, prevent and resolve business issues.
  • Provides guidance, and may support the development, revision and audit of HR administrative processes (workflows) such as promotions and employee status changes, as well as integrity of the HR data in DayForce.   Provides HR Reports and analysis to leadership as requested.
  • In collaboration with HR Leadership, addresses solutions to employee relations issues; works with management, and addresses attraction and retention issues.
  • Assists management with creation of job descriptions, organizational development, career path and employee development (IDP’s), performance management, and career progression.  Will collaborate with HR Business Partner to support business management’s HR solutions, including workforce planning.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned (i.e., development, implementation, and evaluation of company-wide programs or policies).

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business with a heavy emphasis in HR, or the equivalent work experience desired; PHR/SPHR certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, with knowledge of full employee lifecycle processes and programs.  Must have strong experience with performance management and writing performance improvement plans and corrective action plans.  Experience using a HRIS system, including an understanding of general reports needed for business leaders. Strongly prefer experience working in a call center environment.
  • Knowledge of HR processes that make up the employee lifecycle such as recruitment, onboarding, coaching, compensation planning, performance management and discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Outstanding active listening and persuasion skills; demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization; demonstrated business acumen.
