Aquent is hiring for a manual QA specialist!

The Manual QA Specialist works as part of a team in an Agile Software Development framework that ensures customer satisfaction through the delivery of functional, reliable software products.

Design and implement test plans

The Manual QA Specialist designs and implements test plans on software products to ensure that all features satisfy all functional requirements and software specifications.

Identify and record defects

During the testing process, the Manual QA Specialist identifies defects in software products and provides detailed reports to the Development Team regarding the defects. Once the defects have been addressed by the Developers, the Manual QA Specialist conducts further tests to ensure that the defects have been resolved and that no further defects have been introduced.

Collaborate on the design process

The Manual QA Specialist applies their knowledge and skills early in the software development process. They work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Developers to recognize the potential for operational issues and assess risks with a view to preventing issues before they are implemented.

A Manual QA Specialist must:

  • Possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Be detail-oriented

  • Be self-motivated and exercise strong time management skills

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL (preferred)

  • Knowledge of JIRA (preferred, but not required)

  • Knowledge of iOS

  • Knowledge of G Suite
