Senior Web Developer
The Senior Web Developer is focused on creating, enhancing, and supporting website properties for Aquent and its subsidiaries, the main users of which include current and potential clients, job seekers, and internal staff. The developer is part of a larger cross-departmental team that includes product development, project management, design, research, and quality assurance. They provide leadership for development strategy and technology assessment and deployment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Implement new website features, including some or all of the following: CMS configuration, server-side development, front-end markup, and styling
Maintenance and bug-fixes for existing features
Performing and participating in team code reviews and work-in-progress feature demos
Applying and contributing to our team’s development standards and practices
Interacting with and maintaining code management repositories
Managing user stories and tasks in the project management platform to indicate work progress
Working with QA resources to debug and correct issues
Interacting with and improving continuous delivery systems
Participate in stand ups, team planning, retrospectives, and other Agile development meetings
Communicating with team members and other parts of the Aquent organization to remove barriers to progress
User support, including CMS training for new users
Participating in an on-call rotation for off-hours incident response
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
- Has a bachelor's degree in a web development related field and/or work experience of at least 7 years
- Must have experience with front-end development technologies and methodologies
- Must have experience with CMS configuration and administration
- Specifically WordPress and Gutenberg development
- Advanced experience with front-end development technologie
- HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, React, Responsive Design, Automated Testing
- Advanced experience with web development standards
- Code Standards, Frameworks, Methodologies, Accessibility, Documentation
- Demonstrated experience with web content management system configuration and administration
- Demonstrated familiarity with relational database architecture
- Demonstrated familiarity with Amazon Web Services features
- Advanced experience with web QA
- Testing, Debugging, Cross-Browser Support
- Advanced experience with other toolsVersion Control, Design Tools, Project Management Systems, Build Tools
